Get ready for the January eating challenge!

This challenge is simlar to our last one.  We will stick to it from January 1st to January 31st.  Everyday you will post what you ate.  There will be no cheat meals.  Click on ”CFGR’s Thoughts on Eating” in the left column.  See what our most common eating prescription is and that is the challenge.  Please take a before and after picture of yourself.  We will only post the pictures if you want yours posted.

This is what we will eat for every meal, large or small: quality meat, plenty of veggies, good fat.  The one exception will be yam or sweet potatoe after your workout.  We will be avoiding dairy.   

If you are a vegetarian this may be a good month to give meat a try again.  If you do, see if your strength increases.  If you want to stay vegetarian, just do what you usually do to get your protein, but still join the challenge.     

This is a paleo-zone eating style.  We aren’t weighing our food (which would be the true Zone method) , but we are avoiding insulin spikes at all cost!

    I weighed in at 175.5 this morning. I’ve noticed that I usually gain weight after CrossFit – not sure what’s up with that. Something to do with exhausting the body? Or simply the extra snack I eat on CF days?

    I was also thinking I didn’t consume any caffeine yesterday (Brian said that caffeine speeds up metabolism.)
